Carmen Herrera is one of Art Market Liaison’s favorite female artists. Born in Cuba, she lived to the remarkable age of 106 and consistently pushed the boundaries of abstraction throughout her life and career. Over several years, we collaborated with our client to find the perfect piece by Herrera. Our work involved closely monitoring the market, searching for works at the right price point through auctions and private gallery sales. With the assistance of Lisson Gallery, we eventually discovered the ideal piece for our client’s collection, despite it being located in South Korea. We provided comprehensive support, handling customs, imports and logistics, to ensure a seamless process and enabling our client to add this gem to their collection.
